Fred Jackson working; RBs key versus Colts

By Mark Gaughan

Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson was back on the field and practicing this afternoon, as the Bills prepared for Sunday's game at Indianapolis. Jackson sat out last week's game against Miami with a concussion.

"They did everything they had to in order to get me cleared," Jackson said before practice.

Bills coach Chan Gailey said C.J. Spiller will start at running back against the Colts.

The BIlls likely will need good production out of their running-back duo. The Colts have a productive offense, ranking fourth in the league in yards gained. The Colts' defense ranks 22nd in the league against the run and is 29th in yards per rush. Buffalo is fourth in rush average, at 5.2 yards a carry.

Meanwhile, Bills fullback Corey McIntyre left practice early after tweaking his left leg during individual drills. He walked to the sidelines to get checked out by trainers then was driven back to the locker room. The Bills practiced inside Ralph Wilson Stadium.

The Bills are in better health for the game. Defensive end Chris Kelsay, who sat out the Miami game with a sore neck, was practicing fully. Not practicing were defensive end Mark Anderson, cornerbacks Aaron Williams and Ron Brooks and defensive tackle Kyle Williams.
