Buffalo Bills defensive end Chris Kelsay had to leave practice in the first half hour today, adding another uncertainty for the defense entering Sunday's game at New England.
Kelsay, who's scheduled to start in place of the injured Mark Anderson, incurred a neck injury during the session and walked off the practice field with no noticeable problem during positional drills.
Said Bills coach Chan Gailey: "He could not finish. They're doing more tests. We'll know more tomorrow."
If Kelsay can't play, then Shawne Merriman would be the next man up at defensive end. Anderson is out with a knee injury.
Bills receiver Stevie Johnson participated on a limited basis due to the thigh bruise suffered in Houston and said he will play versus the Patriots.
"It's a little weak, but it's all good," Johnson said. "It definitely went better than I thought it would, considering the pain I was in even yesterday. I'm going (to practice) the rest of the week."
Defensive tackle Kyle Williams (ankle) was limited but should be ready for Sunday, Gailey said. The coach said Williams probably would be rested some in the middle of the week the rest of the season due to the ankle.
Defensive tackle Spencer Johnson (ankle) and guard Kraig Urbik (foot) both were limited but should be fine for Sunday, Gailey said.
