Sporting News polls not kind to Bills, Mario Williams

By Jay Skurski

Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams hasn't just disappointed Buffalo Bills fans.

In its annual Midseason Players Poll, the Sporting News asked NFL players who has been the most disappointing player through the first half of 2012. Williams finished third on the list in voting by his peers. The Sporting News' network of NFL correspondents polled 103 players from 27 teams.

Players were not allowed to name their teammates or head coach for any of their answers. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was the leading vote-getter, with 16 votes, one ahead of Carolina's Cam Newton.

Williams was the only player among the top five not to be a quarterback. Here is a link to the full results.

Players were also asked to vote on the worst organization in the NFL, in which the Bills finished fourth. The Cleveland Browns got the most votes in that category, with 20, while Jacksonville and Oakland were next with 19 votes each. The Bills got nine votes.
