Buffalo Bills coach Chan Gailey's got a secret.
"I mean, we know what we're going to do, but to be honest with you I don't want to talk about it right now," Gailey said in reference to his plans along the offensive line.With center Eric Wood out and right tackle Chris Hairston placed on injured reserve, the Bills will have two new starters along the line Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. One of those, Sam Young, will be at right tackle.
The mystery is where the other, rookie undrafted free agent David Snow, will play. Snow has split time at center and right guard with Kraig Urbik during the practice week. Asked if he could shed some light on his plans along the line, Gailey was less than forthcoming.
"We'll have five [linemen]. Ever play we'll have five, and some we'll have six," he said. "But that's about as far as I'm ready to go on that."
For their part, Snow and Urbik said they don't know where they'll be yet, and aren't really bothered by it.
"It doesn't really matter at this point. I'm just trying to help out as much as I can," Urbik said.
"It really doesn't make a difference. We're at home in both places. We've been playing guard and center for a long time," Snow said. "As long as I'm getting to play, it really doesn't make a difference."
