The Buffalo Bills today put tackle Chris Hairston on the injured reserve list due to the foot injury he suffered against Jacksonville on Sunday.
This puts Sam Young in the starter's spot not just for Sunday's game against St. Louis, but for the final four games of the season.
It's a blow to the Bills. Hairston has been playing well since right tackle Erik Pears went down for the season five games ago. Hairston actually has started eight straight games. He filled in for left tackle Cordy Glenn for three weeks before the Pears injury.
The Bills signed tackle Chris Scott off Tennessee's practice squad to fill Hairston's spot on the roster. Scott, 6-4 and 360, was a fifth-round pick of Pittsburgh's in 2010.
