Niagara Falls native James Starks' season with the Green Bay Packers appears over.
Former Buffalo News reporter Tyler Dunne, currently with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports today that Starks is likely headed to injured reserve because of a right knee injury.
Starks has had injury problems dating back to his senior season with the University at Buffalo, which he missed because of a shoulder injury. As a pro, Starks has missed time because of hamstring, ankle and turf toe injuries. He's carried 71 times for 255 yards and one touchdown this season for Green Bay.
To take his place, the Packers re-signed veteran running back Ryan Grant.
