Stevie Johnson already is known for something no other Buffalo Bills receiver had accomplished, and he's on the verge of adding even more milestones.
He would trade those numbers with Andre Reed, James Lofton or Eric Moulds for some victories instead.
"It sounds good," Johnson said of his stats. "It sounds cool. I can't say it doesn't. But how those receivers were back in the day, with 13 wins and those types of seasons, that's probably better than being the first with three [straight 1,000-yard seasons] with five, six, seven wins."
Johnson last year became the first Bills receiver to record consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. With two games left, he's 109 yards away from extending his streak to three.
He also needs one reception to join Reed as the only Bills receivers with three straight seasons of at least 70 catches.
"We're not making the playoffs, but getting to 1,000 shows how much you've got to work," Johnson said. "Things might not go as planned, but you never know what you're working for.
"At the end of the day, it turns out I'm working for a third straight 1,000-yard season. But that's all minor."
