Bills legend Andre Reed makes final 15 for Hall of Fame

By Mark Gaughan

Buffalo Bills receiver Andre Reed made the list of 15 modern-era finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame for a seventh straight year.

The list of finalists was released today by the Hall. Reed is one of three wide receivers on the list of finalists, joined by Cris Carter and Tim Brown.

There are four first-time finalists. They are defensive linemen Michael Strahan and Warren Sapp, and offensive linemen Larry Allen and Jonathan Ogden.

The other 15 modern-era finalists are: running back Jerome Bettis, defensive linemen Kevin Greene and Charles Haley, owners Edward DeBartolo Jr. and Art Modell, coach Bill Parcells, guard Will Shields and cornerback Aeneas Williams. They are joined by two senior nominees: nose tackle Curley Culp and linebacker Dave Robinson.

Senior nominees are players whose careers ended more than 25 years ago.

Bills special teams great Steve Tasker was among the 25 semifinalists in consideration but did not make the cut from 25 to 15 modern candidates.
