Lovie Smith will get his wish.
WGR host Howard Simon this morning reported the Buffalo Bills have scheduled a weekend interview with the former Chicago Bears head coach.
A source close to Smith has told The Buffalo News that Smith has keen interest in Buffalo's opening and was eager to interview.
Smith was fired Monday after going 10-6 with the Bears, one victory away from the NFC North title but out of the playoffs.
Smith went 81-63 in nine seasons. He won the division title three times and guided Chicago the Super Bowl after the 2006 season.
He had three losing seasons, but two of them were 7-9. The Bills have not been better than 7-9 in any of their past eight seasons.
