Sporting News mock draft lands Bills Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson

By Jay Skurski

Buffalo Bills General Manager Buddy Nix made it clear -- again -- this week that the team in interested in drafting a quarterback early in April's draft.

With that in mind, the Sporting News' mock draft selection of Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson to the Bills with the eighth overall pick makes some sense.

Here's the reasoning provided by the mock's author, Vinnie Iyer, "The Bills are ready to move on from Ryan Fitzpatrick and would like to break in a new quarterback along with their new coach. It looks like Wilson or North Carolina State's Mike Glennon will be the third QB picked."

Iyer has West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith going first, and USC quarterback Matt Barkley going seventh to Arizona, a pick ahead of Buffalo.

Iyer's complete mock draft can be found here.
