Western New York won't be the shooting location for a movie that was supposed to be about the Buffalo Bills.
Alas, Cleveland closed the deal for "Draft Day," an Ivan Reitman film starring Kevin Costner. The team will be switched to the Browns.
But we should be OK with that.
We're in the middle of a Zubaz revolution.
The New York Times on Tuesday posted a story about the return of Zubaz, those baggy, zebra-print pants that symbolized -- for weightlifters and fans of football and pro wrestling, anyway -- early 1990s fashion.
Zubaz's biggest ambassadors are the Gronkowski brothers from Amherst. Rob, Dan, Chris and Gordie sell them on their website, GronkNation.com.
From their site:
"Ever wonder what pants you should wear to the game? Stand out in the crowd, Get Hyped and show your support for a Gronk with a pair of Zubaz pants. Wear them to work out, party, as pajamas, to tailgate and to the games on Sunday!"
The Gronkowskis are "some of the best promoters anybody could have," Zubaz co-founder Dan Stock told the New York Times. "They do a lot of charity work and a lot of partying and a lot of everything."
Celluloid? Pshaw.
We're at the epicenter of zebra-print pants, people.
