Lowdown: One of the true "diamonds in the rough" of the 2013 draft class, Ansah has an almost unprecedented combination of size, strength and speed. … Native of Accra, Ghana didn’t start playing football until the 2010 season. In fact, before arriving in the United States had never even seen a football, let alone played in or watched a game. Dreamed of playing in the NBA, and tried out for BYU’s team in 2008 and '09. … A natural pass rusher with solid pop on first contact and great closing speed. … Uses his hands and length well at the line of scrimmage to knock down passes. … A sponge who soaks up coaching advice and has greatly improved his technique. … Versatile defender who lined up at defensive end, defensive tackle and linebacker.
Gets fatigued easily. … While technique has improved, much work is still to be done, as he has a tendency to take himself out of plays. … For all his potential, there is concern over how raw he is.
