A look back at Bills GM history

By Tim Graham

Prior to Doug Whaley, the Buffalo Bills hired 11 general managers for whom they had high hopes.

A couple were great. Some were decent. Most didn't live up to the expectations.

For those who want to take a look back at the club's GM history, here's the rundown:

  • Dick Gallagher, 1960-66
  • Bob Lustig, 1967-78
  • Stew Barber, 1979-82
  • Pat McGroder, 1983
  • Terry Bledsoe, 1984-85
  • Bill Polian, 1986-92
  • John Butler, 1993-2000
  • Tom Donahoe, 2001-05
  • Marv Levy, 2006-07
  • Russ Brandon, 2008-09
  • Buddy Nix, 2010-2012
  • Doug Whaley, 2013-TBA
