Bills' undisciplined moments had Doug Marrone seeing yellow

By Tim Graham

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Buffalo Bills scored 44 points and delivered touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams in their preseason victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Not all was peachy with Bills coach Doug Marrone, though.

Marrone was disappointed his team committed nine penalties for 74 yards and committed a pair of turnovers.

"There's still a lot of work to do for us," Marrone said. "We had a lot of young guys out there. Little things that we must get better at, obviously, are the penalties. I wasn't very pleased with that. The players understand that."

Buffalo committed four penalties and lost a fumble in the first quarter alone.

Four of the Bills' penalties gave the Colts first downs.

As much variety as the Bills had when it came to scoring, they had even more kinds of flags.

They committed multiple fouls in each phase. Rookies were whistled. Veterans were whistled. They were as minor as Erik Pears' false start and as undisciplined and silly Ron Brooks' 15-yard taunt.

The Bills were flagged for holding three times. Thomas Welch was called for holding twice in the second half.
