Bills shed no tears upon learning Rob Gronkowski won't play

By Tim Graham

The Buffalo Bills weren't a skosh bothered to hear Rob Gronkowski didn't make the trip.

Gronkowski has been slobberknocking his hometown team since he entered the league in 2010, but his back and forearm injuries haven't allowed him to practice enough. The New England Patriots won't have him for today's season opener in Ralph Wilson Stadium.

In six career games against the Bills, the former Williamsville North star has 30 receptions for 449 yards and nine touchdowns.

That would be a season's pace of 80 receptions for 1,197 yards and 24 touchdowns.

He has scored at least one touchdown every time he has played the Bills.
