C.J. Spiller predicts he'll be fine for Sunday's game versus Ravens

By Tim Graham

C.J. Spiller expects to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

Spiller was injured in the second quarter of Sunday's 27-20 loss to the New York Jets at the Meadowlands. He returned to the game briefly in the third quarter, but exited for good with what the Bills announced as a knee injury.

"A little sore but shouldn't be nothing that will keep me out this week," Spiller said this morning at One Bills Drive. "Should be feeling better day-by-day, but just taking it slow. It's a little sore right now."

Spiller finished with his most miserable statistical performance as a pro: 10 carries for 9 yards and one reception for 1 yard. He fumbled twice, but the Jets didn't recover either of them.

He said a decision on his status against the Ravens won't be determined until later this week, but expressed optimism he'll be ready for the league's fourth-rated run defense.

"I've got to make sure that it's ready to go," Spiller said. "I have all the faith in my trainers, and we'll look at it day-to-day. As of right now, the plan is to see how it feels doing stuff, doing some treatment and doing everything necessary that I need to do to make sure that I'm ready.

"But come Wednesday or Thursday, ultimately the decision needs to be made -- more Thursday -- about if I'll be able to go. But I think I should be good."
