Panthers lose cornerback Thomas, safety Godfrey

Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Thomas, a UB graduate, suffered a concussion in the first half and will miss the rest of the game.

His replacement, Josh Norman, was injured early in the third quarter. He injured a quadriceps but returned to play later in the period.

Shortly afterward, safety Charles Godfrey was taken off on a cart after breaking up a pass in the end zone. He suffered an ankle injury and will miss the rest of the game.

Another safety, Quintin Mikell, was carted off early in the fourth quarter. He reportedly injured an ankle.
