Charles who? Bills wary of Dolphins TE Clay

By Mark Gaughan

Charles Clay is a former sixth-round draft pick who plays tight end for the Miami Dolphins and is unknown to a lot of NFL fans - especially those not playing fantasy football (are there any of you out there?).

Clay, however, is a threat, and the Bills are well aware of him heading into Sunday's game at Robbie/Pro Player/Dolphin/Dolphins/LandShark/SunLife park.

"He’s been making some plays," said Bills safety Da'Norris Searcy. "They do a variety of things with him. He’s a versatile player. He went vertical on the Colts and on Baltimore. You’ve got to keep him in mind."

Clay has 23 catches, two behind team leader Brian Hartline, and he plays about 85 percent of the snaps in Miami's offense. Clay, 6-foot-3 and 255, split time between fullback and tight end at the University of Tulsa. He scored 38 touchdowns in 53 games. In his rookie season in 2011, he had a 46-yard catch and a touchdown against the Bills in Miami.
