Bills sign five tryout prospects

The Bills announced they've signed five players they invited to participate in this week's voluntary workouts.

They are:

  • Running back Frank Summers (UNLV)
  • Defensive end Jamie Blatnick (Oklahoma State)
  • Linebacker Kourtnei Brown (Clemson)
  • Kicker Chris Koepplin (Massachusetts)
  • Punter Brian Stahovich (San Diego State)

The other three players invited to try out were:

  • Tight end Nick Provo (Syracuse)
  • Defensive tackle Nicolas Jean-Baptiste (Baylor)
  • Defensive lineman Marcus Robinson (Miami)
  • Cornerback Mike Holmes (Syracuse)
  • Cornerback Byron Mulkey (Buffalo)
  • Long snapper James Winchester (Oklahoma)

Byron Mulkey grateful for second chance with Bills

Byron Mulkey’s keeping his eggs in a couple different baskets, as he says.

The 24-year-old former Niagara-Wheatfield and University at Buffalo basketball star has not stopped chasing after his dream of playing cornerback in the NFL, but has also kept his sights set on what he’ll do if that doesn’t come to fruition.

Mulkey, who’s in town participating on a tryout basis this week at the Buffalo Bills’ voluntary minicamp, relocated last summer to Atlanta.
