Chronic disease self-management workshops offered

The Niagara County departments of Health and for the Aging will offer free, six-week chronic disease self-management workshops starting this week.

The first will start Thursday at the Wheatfield Community Center, 2790 Church Road, Wheatfield; the second on Friday at the Eastern Niagara Hospital-Newfane Site, 2600 William St., Newfane. Both workshops will meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m. once a week.

This program, for people with any type of ongoing health condition, is designed to work with the health care participants already receive, help them better manage their health, and maintain an active, fulfilling lifestyle. Caregivers also are welcome.

Contact 438-3030 or 278-1900 to register for the class.
