Brury? Driere? Take your pick ...

You're Darcy Regier. You have less than six weeks to sign your co-captains before they hit the open market and start fielding offers you might not be able to compete with.

But, for the sake of debate, you've been informed by the Sabres' bean counters that you can afford to bring back only one. And, for the sake of this discussion, you need to set aside those feelings of regret over not getting this taken care of during the season because of a silly policy.

You love what Chris Drury brings to the table. He's your best two-way forward. He led the team in power-play goals and was the best penalty killer. He was the top faceoff artist. He's a natural winner and leads by example.

You love what Daniel Briere provides your team. He enjoyed one of the best offensive seasons in recent Sabres history. He charismatic, colorful. He was the All-Star MVP. Furthermore, when you pulled the trigger on the nearly criminal trade that brought him aboard in exchange for Chris Gratton, it probably saved your job that offseason.

So who's your choice this summer? One or the other. You can't have both.

Tell us what you think.
