Zednik update coming
A news conference has been scheduled for 4 p.m. at Buffalo General Hospital to update the condition of Richard Zednik. Zednik remains in stable condition and attending surgeon Sonya Moor has said he would remain in the intensive care unit for continued evaluation.
The Sabres' practice today in HSBC Arena was a solemn one. There was little chatter, no laughter or byplay like there normally would be after a win. It was clearly tough for everyone involved to get into back-to-work mode with a game at Ottawa Tuesday night to prepare for. Afterward, General Manager Darcy Regier briefly broke down when reliving the scene with the media. It was emotional for everyone who was at the arena last night.
