Frozen Confines?
In a Chicago press conference Wednesday, Gary Bettman said many cities have expressed interest in hosting an outdoor game next year and the league will almost certainly do one somewhere (can it ever approach what we saw Jan. 1 at the Ralph? I think not).
The Rangers are believed to be an early favorite because they want to stage the last event in old Yankee Stadium. The Blackhawks are also very interested and most people thought they were looking at Soldier Field.
Turns out that they want to hold it at Wrigley Field and that sounded pretty intriguing to Bettman. Check out this story from the Chicago Tribune and this story from the Arlington Daily Herald. Pretty cool.
