Habs, Canes provide some help

The Sabres got the help they were looking for tonight as the Canadiens improved to 7-0 over the Bruins this season with a 4-2 win in Boston. So that means the Bruins are stuck on 83 points, just two ahead of Buffalo.

Meanwhile, the Panthers earned one point but the Hurricanes pulled out a 2-1 shootout victory. So Florida has 79 points, two behind the Sabres.

Here's more good news for the Sabres and bad news for the Laffs as they come to town Friday night: Both Mats Sundin and Nik Antropov will be out of the lineup for Toronto.

Montreal absolutely owns Boston. The time to move on the B's is now. They'll lose again this weekend at Montreal.
