Star power

Yes, it's the conference finals and anything is possible. But I'm still pretty shocked that the Dallas Stars went into Joe Louis Arena and beat Detroit, 2-1, in Game Five on Saturday afternoon. The series goes back to American Airlines Center, where there's a very real possibility the Red Wings' 3-0 lead could evaporate. And if we get to Game Seven, the Stars would certainly have a huge chance to become the first team in 33 years and just the third in NHL history to overcame a three-game deficit.

Detroit is without Johan Franzen (concussion) but still had 38 shots on goal. Marty Turco was the difference. Fair warning to the Penguins to win Game Five at home Sunday against the Flyers or deal with the same fate as the Red Wings.

When both series were 3-0, John Vogl was dead-on: The NHL's version of the Final Four was a complete bust. Suddenly, things have gotten a lot more interesting. Think the Stars can really pull this off?
