Emmmm-Reeeee, Emmmm-Reeeee

When you're playing well but you're a little flaky on and off the ice, you're colorful. But when you're as bad as Ray Emery was last year in the Ottawa net and as much trouble as he was for Bryan Murray and John Paddock, you're nothing but a distraction.

So I'm not surprised Emery had no real offers thus far in free agency and is taking his show to Russia for a one-year deal. Here's a guy just 13 months removed from playing in the Stanley Cup finals after outplaying Ryan Miller in the Eastern Conference finals and he's out of work in the NHL. At least for now.

But hey, Emery will make some money and maybe he'll find out what there is to do in the Moscow suburb of Mytishchi.
