A view from Portland

I just stumbled on this piece in Thursday's Opinion pages (apologies to the bosses at One News Plaza that it took so long to get to that space!) and I wanted to get the link up here because it's not often you get some Sabretalk on that page.

The story is a submission by WNY native Ted Semesnyei, who now works in economic development and lives near Portland, Maine. His thoughts are that there are a lot of similarities between the cities and that should help make a good marriage for hockey. We'll see if the Sabres keep their end of the bargain stocking the Pirates.

On that count, it looks like so far, so good.
