Lalime in versus Senators

Patrick Lalime, who had some of his best seasons in Ottawa, will be in the crease for the Sabres tonight against his old team.

Defenseman Henrik Tallinder, who suffered a deep cut Saturday against Colorado and didn't finish the game, did not take part in this morning's skate. Coach Lindy Ruff said the defenseman was having trouble skating. Ruff would not say whether Tallinder would play tonight and he would not say whether anyone (Mike Weber) was coming from Portland.

I like Lalime playing tonight. Gives him a chance for the home fans to see him in person. Also, the Sens have had Miller's number over the years. They're one of the few teams Miller has a losing record against. I look forward to tonight's game against the last place Ottawa Senators (saying that feels so good).

Hopefully Lalime will come up big against his former team and Vanek will continue to shine. Should be a good game.

I agree with JB. Don't mess with the team chemistry by putting Connolly in.

Connolly and Hecht won't. A person in the know from Portland has posted on Sabrespace.com web site that Mike Weber has been called up and he will play. Meaning no Tally tonight.

No Connolly! Article said Ruff wouldn't rule either out. Quick - somebody breathe on Connolly so he gets hurt and can't play. I'd rather Tim "the Cooler" Connolly watch from the press box than screw up their chemistry. Even Kotalik is scoring right now! Although, if you let him play now, there's a 68.5% chance he gets hurt and will be out until after the All-Star Break anyway...

Will Connolly or Gaustad play tonight?
