Well its certainly far too early to write them off. Their record is still good. Would be nice to go into Boston and come out a winner tomorrow. I wonder who will be called up?

Same team as last year, same results, nice job Darcy. Where are all the people who praised him for signing the same players that were terrible last season?
Regier is a real treasure, LOL.

The last few games have been disappointing. I may be mistaken, but I thought the games are 60 minutes long. I'd like to see this team play with some grit and heart and passion for an entire game. Is it time to shake up the coaching staff?

No one wants Maxim Icanthitthenetov.
He is ours until he becomes a free agent at end of the season. Then someone will sign him for $1.1 million and he will score 20 goals. Let him walk.
Still think he has lost something.

I too am so damn disappointed. They played great at Pittsburgh until the last 6 minutes. I dont understand the games against Colombus, Tampa and Atlanta. All poor teams. All at home. And no excuse to lose to them. We play better against the good teams and lousy not only against the bad teams, but we are more focused on the road. why cant we play at home? I was at the St Louis game. The first 3 minutes I thought it would be another 10-1 game like against LA a couple years ago. But we had to sweat it out. I would love to see Afinegenov develope the finishing touch. The guy is so talented but just needs to get that finishing touch and he could be a superstar. Its not too late. But is it too late for it to happen here? If so, lets deal him soon and get some toughness in return. We may want to consider giving some of those kids in Portland a shot earlier than anticipated. Like Gerbe? Thoughts?

ok, diehard sabre fans, here's the deal - its not the players, its the coaching !!
Do you actually think that sitting back and playing defense and the counter attack a.k.a Lindy Ruff style hockey is going to work against a contender like the Penguins, in the Igloo ??
Bottom line, I say as a loyal Sabres fan, Lindy Ruff needs to be ahead by at least 2 goals in order for him to make these risky strategic moves.
And another bottom line, he and the team need to win games not play with the score and the clock, we're 1-4 in the last five and the win was a 4-3 W vs. the Blues and have you seen our schedule for the next two weeks which closes out Nov. ?
Step up Sabres and just skate and play hockey, keep it simple !
Score, Score often and win by a few !! (We have Boston twice in the next 6 games as well as the Penguins again)
and while I'm still here, where's our forecheck ?
Frustrated and Disappointed Sabres fan Mike

Seems over the last couple of years a few but important pieces of the Sabres players have a problem with Lindy`s system of play.It appears that there may be a couple more this year and it`s starting to show as the current losing streak illustrates. So, he sits a couple players and maybe calls up a couple more but i believe that the current coaching staff may have come to the end of it`s effectivness after it`s extended stay here.I thought that last year would have been a good time to make a change at coach and GM but i guess Golisano is satisfied since he`s still making money. The only time he`ll make a change is when it effects his income not before.Oh well, there`s always next year!!

You forgot the ref for penalizing us and giving Pens their second power play goal. Crosby slashes 3 times after and ref "didn't see it".
Ruff, where is your passion on that call? Are you getting old on us? There was a time (3 years ago...hmmm) you would be screaming about that call, waving a clip board around like a lunatic. It would have made me feel better for screaming at the TV. Your reaction? None.
Does it do any good? Ask your players after they phoned it in despite your calling a timeout. You DO have a responsibility to generate passion DURING the game. Calm, cool and collective does not always work. Is 11 years as a coach making you too comfortable?
Time to man-up fellas. If the old man aint going to demand it, you better find it in yourselves.
Yes, last night was a manhood test. You got blown out by a sub par team on Friday and then gave away the game to a team you will be desperate to pass in 60 games.
Yeah, we are only 20 games in, but if we don't find some passion soon, this season is as good as over.
Have fun looking back little ones....

Same team as last year...a bunch of tin men, no heart.

If every fan sent in 10 dollars, could we buy out Max's contract? I'm actually serious.
