Lot's of Kudos to go around tonight but I am going with a tie:
Miller
Gaustad
Lydman
Gave Vanek the night off here although his two way play was inspiring. Would have given Geno one, but I can't stand the guy.
This was one game Miller gave us. Made Satan look like a chump..Thank you! Reminded me of the old days and it's good to be on the other side for this one.
Baby Sydney got away with more slashes, Vanek got 2 cheap ones. Delay of Game???? COME ON!!!!!!
Good to see it made the papers. This has been an issue with The Pens. If other teams are doing the same thing, it may have some impact. The NHL is till "copying" the NBA here. WHo knows, it may work cause ANY press is better than no press.
They really need to start acting like the second tier sport they are. I said this before though, this sport has the weakest business minds of all the professional sports. Their egos get in the way of effective management.
If you want to sell this sport better, go back to the pre lockout rules with some adjustments:
Allow, and encourage fighting.
Call more penalty shots.
Eliminate the red line.
Widen the nets a tad.
Create a zone defense penalty so you can't clog up the shooting lanes (it can be done).
Why do I bring this up now? Nascar is on the ropes, so now is your chance to make a move. Someone bump Bettman's chair and wake him up.
This isn't rocket science fellas, it's good old fashioned marketing. Sorry purists, fighting sells.

Nice to see the effort from all parts of the team last night. I'd love to see the refs start calling more diving calls on Whining Crybaby Crosby, but we all know that ain't gonna happen. Last I knew hitting is still part of this game, and whining every time another player hits him won't get the call he wants from the refs either.

Who makes up these lists? They must just look at the score sheets and not the game. The Sabres could not have won without Miller's great play.

I agree with Chad. Anytime anyone makes contact with Crosby, the first thing he does is complain to the refs "What, no call?". He's agreat player, but needs to stop whining and diving.
Gaustad played great. Miller played great. Gerbe is full of hustle. I hope he starts putting up some points. Vanek....keep it up. You can get 50.

That was a great effort last night. Hard work will pay off! Keep it up Sabres! Vanek would've been my 1 star

Lydman
Sekera

Why in all of God's goodness is Sidney Crosby on this list? For his juvenile pissing and moaning? His dives? For his -2 tonight? Give me a break, he had an assist on a 5-on-3. Wowwwww.
I'll echo everyone's sentiments: no way Gaustad and Miller shouldn't be on the list (and probably Hecht, too).

Gotta have Gaustad in there. Tough two-way game, lots of penalty kill time.

Miller gets a write in vote from me.

I gotta agree with TJ. And add the officials.

Three stars:
Miller
Gaustad
Vanek

Why isn't Miller or Lydman or Hecht or Gaustad on the list?? The penalty killers won this game more than any scorer...
