Jarkko Ruutu is going to have his day in NHL court today on his first-period snacking last night of Andrew Peters' thumb, according to a TSN report. Peters has gone national, as evidenced by the segment below from SportsCenter this morning, with ESPN's Neil Everett and Scott Van Pelt. Stomach-busting funny analysis.
The Sabres did not practice today and Peters, one of the team's most upbeat players, seemed alternately sheepish and forlon when rehashing the incident with the media again.
"I don't think anyone really wants to admit to biting somebody," Peters said. "That's a pretty awful thing that he did. You guys know me and I'm not the kind of guy who would make something up like that. I'm a pretty honest guy. Obviously he's going to deny it, the old deny-till-you-die type thing. That's his choice. I don't think if I did something that stupid, I would really be admitting to it either."
