Schedule update

The release time for the 2009-10 NHL schedule remains 3 p.m. this afternoon, following the 2 p.m. press conference in Fenway Park to announce the Winter Classic between the Bruins and (probably) the Flyers.

In answer to several inquiries I've already received, the Sabres will not be announcing their ticket pricing and game designations for the variable plan today with the schedule. That information will be released later this month, along with the complete preseason slate. As noted here last night, the Sabres will have a home-and-home preseason set with the Capitals and play an exhibition on the road in Detroit. You would assume there would be the annual home-and-home exhibitions with the Leafs as well.

Keep it here at buffalonews.com for a full report on the schedule when it's released this afternoon and a complete analysis/breakdown in Thursday's paper.
