Regular blog readers know I'm very anti-Versus but even I realize this would be a very bad thing for the NHL: DirecTV is going to give the NHL's main national network the boot come Monday unless the two can come to an agreement over fees. Versus said its growth is worthy of more coin. The satellite folks say Versus shouldn't be selling that logic and they're not buying.
We'll see who blinks on this one. Dear NHL: It's called E-S-P-N. As much as they're completely full of themselves, you're really nothing unless you're on their family of networks.
