Like father, like son

Mark Jeanneret, the son of Sabres broadcaster Rick Jeanneret, will handle the play-by-play duties for the Portland Pirates this season.

Mark Jeanneret, 41, has been the voice of the Erie (Pa.) Otters -- a junior club that is part of the Ontario Hockey League -- the past 12 seasons.

"Portland has proven to be a first-class organization with a great AHL history and heritage," Jeanneret said of the Sabres' American Hockey League affiliate. "I hope to help continue that tradition."
