NHLPA mess continues

Who's running the NHL Players' Association these days? Who knows.

Interim Executive Director Ian Penny has resigned, less than two months after the PA fired leader Paul Kelly. Some player reps reportedly have been upset with Penny about the Kelly debacle.

I enjoy the NHL, but it is not hard to find reasons why so many look at this sport as a minor league sport masquerading as a major sport. They can't even have a union leader in the fold for three months before he is gone. Where is the leadership among the players and for the players when it comes to collective bargaining? Are they on the right page? Maybe some of the NHL player reps did not like how Kelly exited, but there needs to be a better structure in place to represent them at the table. This is an absolute joke.
