Sekera injured
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Sabres defenseman Andrej Sekera left Saturday's game against the Predators with 4:45 left in the second period and never returned.
"I just started skating and there was straight pain down my whole left side," he said. "Something in the muscles, probably."
Added coach Lindy Ruff: "The early diagnosis isn’t good. I’ll have an update Monday, but it looks like he’s going to miss some time."
Injured defenseman Toni Lydman (hand) may be able to return by Tuesday, when the Sabres host Detroit. Nathan Paetsch is also available after being scratched in the opening three games.
