UNIONDALE -- Zack Kassian, the Sabres' No. 1 draft pick last year from Peterborough, has been indefinitely suspended by the Ontario Hockey League for a shot to the head in a game this week against Barrie. Kassian, now playing for his hometown team in Windsor after a trade, left his feet on the hit and will miss at least the next two games before the OHL reviews the situation.
Kassian has a history of suspensions for on-ice indiscretions and will certainly need to learn where the line is drawn as he moves on in his career. There's a good chance he could be on Team Canada in next year's World Junior Championships.
Here's the hit that earned the suspension. Leave your feet and go to the head, you're going to get nailed I would say. What do you think?
