The Sabres, of course, have issues as they're 0-3-1 in their last four games and it's anybody's guess what kind of effort we'll see tonight in the wake of their seven-game, 7,000-mile road trip that ended Monday in Vancouver. The New Jersey Devils, meanwhile, hit town after last night's 3-0 loss in Ottawa and are just 2-5 in their last seven as their offense as completely gone into a slumber since Patrik Elias was felled by a concussion a couple of weeks ago in Colorado.
In today's game story from the Bergen Record, we see some of the ugly New Jersey numbers: shut out three times in the last eight (one was a 1-0 shootout win) and only 11 goals in that span.
More to come from today's morning skate.
