Boudreau wants Caps ready

The trade deadline is tough for all teams, but Washington coach Bruce Boudreau feels it's quite weird to be on the road since his team has been home or off on deal day during his tenure.

"I've got to believe it'll be hard to focus until 3 o'clock," Boudreau said in HSBC Arena while preparing for tonight's game against the Sabres. "Come 3 o'clock, they'd better be focused."

The coach thinks the Sabres should have plenty of energy early after the fans' "five-minute ovation" for Ryan Miller, so he wants his team's adrenaline up. If not ...

"It'll be 4-0 before we know what hit us," Boudreau said.

Washington should be amped because the game is its first since before the Olympics.
