Miller: 'Our playoff spot's not set'

Ryan Miller is still basking in the Olympic afterglow, as evidenced by the media masses who turned out to meet him in HSBC Arena this morning, but the Sabres' goaltender is ready to move forward. He's thinking playoffs, and he wants his slumping team to know the postseason is not a given.

"We've got to compete," Miller said. "Our playoff spot's not set."

The goaltender knows the trade deadline is a stressful time, but he said any player still in Buffalo after 3 p.m. should only focus on the Stanley Cup.

Miller also talked about the "surreal" ovation he received from Pittsburgh fans Tuesday night, how he feels his life is the same despite the spike in attention and his uncertain plans for his silver medal. The audio is below.
