RALEIGH, N.C. -- Raffi Torres, who has an upper-body injury, will miss his second straight game today when the Sabres play Carolina.
Coach Lindy Ruff said Saturday that Torres has been treating the injury for some time. The left winger routinely has an ice pack on his hand and wrist area. Ruff today would not divulge whether the injury occurred before the Sabres acquired Torres and didn't know if the injury could linger into the playoffs.
"I don’t know," Ruff said in RBC Center. "When our doctors see him we’ll probably get a better idea, but right now he can’t play."
The coach also refused to name his starting goaltender for the 5 p.m. start.
