The Sabres are starting to take the ice at HSBC Arena for an optional skate and we'll have all the day's news following the workout. First item of note: Drew Stafford is on the ice in a regular jersey. He has skated in non-contact roles only since suffering his concussion.
In the wake of Thomas Vanek's injury, the Sabres could use Stafford Monday night in Boston. We'll have the latest on Vanek from Lindy Ruff after practice.
