BOSTON -- The Bruins are taking the ice here at TD Garden while the Sabres go on at 11:30. There is plenty of talk that Marc Savard may, in fact, play tonight. Kevin Paul Dupont's column in the Boston Globe today makes it seem like a good bet if Savard passes one final neuropsych test later today. That would seem to up the ante for Thomas Vanek to get back in the lineup. Tough situation for the Sabres.
POST-PRACTICE UPDATE: The Bruins' PR staff shooed reporters away from Savard's locker while the veteran was still on the ice and said he would not be commenting prior to the game. Coach Claude Julien would only say, "No confirmation right now" when asked about Savard's status.
