The Buffalo Sabres are encouraging fans attending Game Two of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal between Buffalo and Boston to plan ahead before making the trip downtown on Saturday.
The New York State Thruway Authority announced construction on I-190 southbound will interrupt traffic from Exit 14 (Ontario Street) to Exit 9 (Peace Bridge-Canada-Porter Avenue) throughout the weekend - including during Saturday's game at HSBC Arena.
Southbound lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday April 16, through 6 a.m. on Monday April 19.
According to NYSTA “motorists traveling southbound on I-190 must exit at Exit 14 (Ontario Street) and proceed south on Rte 266 – Niagara Street, where they will then reenter I-190 southbound at Exit 9 (Peace Bridge-Canada-Porter Avenue).”
