The Sabres have signed another prospect to an entry-level contract, as forward Jacob Lagace has agreed to a three-year deal. The contract calls for Lagace to make $545,000 this season and $565,000 each of the next two seasons.
Lagace was a fifth-round pick in the 2008 draft. He joined the Portland Pirates on a tryout contract at the end of last season and went scoreless in one playoff game. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder split the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season between Cape Breton and Chicoutimi, totaling 35 goals and 38 assists in 60 games.
