The commish's take

Ever wonder how much Gary Bettman makes? SportsBusiness Journal pegs the NHL commissioner's salary at a little over $7.2 million, as recorded in the league's most recent tax filing. Deputy commish Bill Daly made $1.9M+ and discipline czar Colin Campbell took in nearly $1.4M to basically agitate fans from around the league.

Before you jump to conclusions about Bettman's salary, the article is quick to point out that MLB czar Bud Selig's most recent salary was $18.35 million, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is at $10.9 million and NBA boss David Stern is also believed to make more than $10 million.
