Sabres forward Tyler Ennis won't play as scheduled tonight in Toronto because he has left the team to tend to a family matter. Paul Byron and Travis Turnbull will be in the lineup for the first time in the exhibition season and Luke Adam will get back in after initially being slated to sit this one out.
Patrick Lalime and Jhonas Enroth will split time in goal.
Ruff said Craig Rivet (throat contusion) is improving and is back at the arena working out on an exercise bike. Ruff said Rivet's throat remains sore but is hoping the captain can be back on the ice in a day or two.
The game is a radio-only broadcast in Buffalo. The NHL Network telecast will be blacked out.
