Jr. Sabres open this weekend

Folks needing a hockey fix and unable to wait for the start of Sabres training camp Set. 18 can head to Amherst this weekend. The Buffalo Junior Sabres open their Ontario Junior A Hockey League schedule with home games Saturday and Sunday.

The Junior Sabres, the only U.S.-based team in the league, host the Hamilton Red Wings at 3 p.m. Saturday in Northtown Center in Amherst. The Mississauga Chargers visit the rink off Maple Road at 7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for students.
