Practice update

As expected, Matt Ellis is not with the Sabres for practice today in HSBC Arena as they are trying to get him through waivers to Portland. Thomas Vanek, Craig Rivet and Patrick Lalime are all on the ice, but Vanek is in a grey jersey and not skating on a line. For now at least, Mike Weber appears to have a top-six spot on defense. The combinations look like this:

Ennis-Roy-Stafford
Hecht-Connolly-Pominville
Gerbe-Niedermayer-Grier
Gaustad-McCormick-Kaleta

Morrisonn-Myers
Leopold-Montador
Weber-Rivet
Butler-Sekera
