Here's an auction you memorabilia hounds might want to get in on: As part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the "Herd About Buffalo" program, Roswell Park is auctioning off a buffalo statue that is covered in the autographs of every member of the Sabres' roster (it was created and donated by Sabres creative services director Frank Cravotta). Check it out at right.
The auction is being conducted at TheBuffaloHerd.com and is one of 12 designs featured by local artists. Proceeds benefit cancer research and patient care at Roswell Park. The Sabres' buffalo is 12 inches high and 16 1/2 inches long.
The page for the official Sabres Buffalo is here and I note that, as of Wednesday morning, the bidding is already over $700.
Back to the World Series for me. Join me for my pre-Series chat today at 1. The Sabres went directly to Atlanta from Philadelphia for Friday night's game against the Thrashers and John Vogl will have the latest on their front from practice today.
